Herbed Century Tuna Pasta in Olive Oil - WTF Recipe
Quick, easy and "somewhat" healthy!
Sometimes we all just need a quick and easy munch that can satiate our cravings. One of my go-to comfort quick bite is the Herbed Century Tuna Pasta in Olive Oil. Mind you that this is not sponsored by Century Tuna (but I will be glad if it is lol) and a background about this recipe, one Sunday night when we were about to sleep, my wife craved for a creamy pasta and as her king I immediately rush to the nearest tindahan (small grocery store) to buy ingredients.

Since I was thinking about a very quick pasta dish Century Tuna quickly comes to my mind but the next problem is, "okay I have the main ingredient now but what else?" then I searched our kitchen for ingredients and viola, this recipe.
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 can of Century Tuna Flakes in Oil (drained)
  • 350 grams of spaghetti pasta
  • 3 cloves of garlic (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 tablespoon thyme
  • 1/2 tablespoon rosemary
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Boil water in a pot, make sure it has enough water (at least 4 cups) and season it with a pinch of salt for flavor, boil until al dente or follow the package instruction. Set aside.
  2. In a pan put a little amount of olive oil, saute garlic and onion till caramelized.
  3. Add the Century Tuna Flakes in Oil and mix well.
  4. Add the pasta to the pan and mix thoroughly, throw in thyme and rosemary.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Finish it off with a dash of olive oil for additional texture.

OTHER VARIATIONS/TIPS

  • Want some kick? Instead of using Century Tuna Flakes in Oil, use the Century Tuna Hot and Spicy.
  • For more freshness, add chopped parsley.
