BLK513 - What's the hype all about?

The first time I saw their ad, I was like "The hell is that stuff? Black ice-cream?" and told my wife regarding it, being a crazy foodie, we immediately rushed to Eastwood where the nearest branch is.

There was no line when we arrived so we took our time looking around. The place is not that big and there are very few tables and chairs inside but they have tables outside which is fine.

The way you order is like a construct-your-own-concoction type of service wherein a server will assemble the item in front of you depending on which ingredients you like. The price is too high for a yogurt, PHP185. Kinda disappointed since I was expecting a much fair price (between PHP100-PHP150). Anyway, you start first by selecting 1 crumb by default, then 2 fruits and finally a sauce.

And we start to wonder why is it black in the first place? It's because of their activated charcoal thing-a-ma-jig, The activated charcoal, taken from coconut, is infused to detoxify and cleanse, with a result healthier and is also a US premium Greek yogurt. The amount of yogurt is generous, thick and delicious though.

It's a good treat every once in a while and it's a guilt-free snacking if you can handle the price.

• It's a very simple bar top where you can place your order, a few tables outside and that's it. Very simple considering that they're more likely focusing on on-the-go customers.
• Service
• It's slow as they can only make one order at a time and it may take at least 5 minutes for each order so the line can get long in a matter of a minute.
• Price
• I think PHP185 is way too much for Greek yogurt. Yes, they can let you customize it but thinking about the way they put the bits on your cup, it's not consistent as sometimes you'll see very few kiwis but if you order the next day you'll be surprised because it's now overloaded with kiwi. I think, making the price lower while controlling the portion will really go a long way.
